The Crafting Journey (Part W)

 Hello Friends!

Saturday (last) was the roundup for Craft for YEG. I did not make a donation this time, because I felt that I did not have enough stuff. I am hoping to have some more shawls made for the pre-Christmas roundup.

I have so many ideas of stuff I want to make. I decided to abandon the doll cradle- it was a fussy project and required more patience than I was willing to give it.

There was a sale at Michaels and I bought more yarn, but I haven't started making anything with it yet. I have two projects on my needles (currently- but really, who am I kidding? I actually have about 5 or 6 unfinished projects- and who knows when or if those will get done...) Right now, I am working on a baby blanket for Craft for YEG and a baby dress for a couple from church.

This working for a living is seriously cutting into my knitting time- LOL.

I cannot wait to make and show you the projects I have in mind. I have been pinning from Pinterest many free patterns and I also have some patterns that I have purchased. Remember that Beekeeper shawl I mentioned before? I bought the yarn, a really nice shade of yellow. I get so excited when I envision what a ball of yarn can be.

I just love knitting so much. I want to share it with others. I am hoping in the next little while to do some knit alongs- I think it is a great community builder. I had asked one of my friends, but she is too busy at the moment, and I totally get that. I was thinking a shawl or a baby dress might be a fun project. If you are interested in doing something like this, please let me know!

In the meantime, I am going to continue on with my projects, and try to remember that making stuff for Craft for YEG is not a competition to see who can make the most stuff but it is about spreading the joy and love of crafting with others in need.

Have a great week. Happy Crafting!

Melanie
