What If There Is No Tomorrow?
I read an article today about how we often take for granted the life and time that we have. We say "I will do that later," or "I will think about that after." However, what we don't realize is that we are not guaranteed of tomorrow. We do not know if there will be a later.
An excerpt from the article says this:
"Let's try to eliminate the afters...
I'm doing it after...
I'll say after...
I'll think about it after...
We leave everything for later like ′′ after ′′ is ours.
Because what we don't understand is that:
Afterwards, the coffee gets cold...
afterwards, priorities change...
Afterwards, the charm is broken...
afterwards, health passes...
Afterwards, the kids grow up...
Afterwards parents get old...
Afterwards, promises are forgotten...
afterwards, the day becomes the night...
afterwards life ends...
And then it's often too late...."
I was thinking about this and Christianity. What about all those afters? What about all those times I missed the opportunity to share the love of Christ with someone? I don't want to do that anymore.
Jesus Loves You! He loves you so much.
We all sin, we do things that are wrong, we have all "missed the mark". Sin separates us from God, but God didn't want us to be separated from him. Jesus died on the cross for every time we have "missed the mark", so that we would not suffer eternal separation from God; but the story does not end there. He rose from the grave on the third day! The fact that he did all of that was a gift to us; all that is required of us, is to accept that gift!! When we become followers of Jesus, he gives us Real Hope, New Life, and Lasting Purpose!
The bible tells us, (1)"If you confess with your mouth, and believe in your heart that God raised Him (Jesus) from from the grave, then you will be saved!" (have eternal life) (Romans 10:9) That's an awesome promise!
If you have never invited Jesus to change your life and you would like to know him as your friend; talk to him, tell him you are sorry for the times you have "missed the mark", tell him that you believe in him and that he died and rose again for you, then don't forget to thank him.
When you come to know Jesus as your friend, he makes you New! (2) If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away!
Just like everyone else, I am not assured of tomorrow, and I wanted to share with you about Jesus, because maybe tomorrow, I will not have the opportunity!
Have a blessed day!
